Officials said stability problems are likely to be to blame in the accident that claimed the life of a well-known DC attorney last week while they were on board a corporate jet that encountered severe turbulence.
After an emergency landing at Bradley International Airport, close to Hartford, on Friday afternoon, Dana Hyde, 55, was identified by Connecticut State Police.
According to a statement given to The Post by the National Transportation Safety Board, “investigators are currently examining a reported trim issue that occurred previous to the inflight upset.”
Hyde, of Cabin John, Maryland, was hurt during the violent turbulence and was later declared dead at Saint Francis Medical Center in Hartford, according to the police.
Hyde was one of five passengers on the flight, which took off from Keene, New Hampshire.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Hyde worked for the Obama administration’s Office of Management and Budget as the association director of general government programs and as a counsel on the 9/11 commission.

According to the agency, Dana Hyde, 55, passed away from severe turbulence while flying over New England. Dana was pronounced dead after being taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Hartford.
While the FBI and National Transportation Safety Board look into what happened to the Bombardier executive aircraft, Dana Hyde’s remains are at the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
